The morning we spread Dad's ashes

I had bought a new pair of Salomon S-Lab trail shoes & a Salomon S-Lab 5 trail pack as a present to myself and to be honest as a pick-me-up for what has been a hard few months. I was building up to the big day of spreading Dad's ashes and thought that a run in the sacred land between Pearl Beach & Patonga would help me cope, which it did. The run was amazing and I covered about 12kms of trails including (purely coincidently) right past the location of where Jane (Sister) and Mum had chosen to lay Dad to rest for ever.

Dad inspired me to run and have an appreciation for the land, the countryside and the native bushland. We are so spoilt to have access to all of this at our doorstep.

On my run I saw a Lyre Bird & several Bush Turkeys and some incredible views on trails that I have not run on since I was a kid abut 25 years ago.

I was so moved that I decided to run the Glenbrook marathon in November, the 6ft track in April '13 and then the NF100 in May '13.
